Lorene Chitwood, age 89, passed away at her home in Cape Coral, Florida, on Friday, July 28, 2017.
Lorene was born on January 27, 1928 in London, Kentucky, to Simon and Nora (Eversole) Woodall.
In 1948, she married Virgil Q. Chitwood. He preceded her in death in 2005.
Survivors include her sons, Mark Chitwood, of Cape Coral, Florida and Steve Chitwood of Rockville; three grandchildren; one brother, Jack Woodall, four sisters, Geraldine Tabor, Eileene Woods, Betty McCart and Joyce Mackey.
Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Clarence Woodall and two sisters, Freda Coffe and Rosie Vandermeulen.
Funeral services for Lorene will be held on Saturday August 5, at 11 a.m. at Wilson St Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Greenwood Chapel. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, August 4 from 5 until 9 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Greenwood.
