MINOT, N.D. — Attendance at this year’s North Dakota State Fair fell just shy of the 300,000 mark, but was still up 2 percent from last year.
Figures released by the fair show 299,077 people attended over the event’s nine-day run that ended Sunday, up from 293,123 last year.
The fair reached a peak attendance of 320,485 in 2013.
Headline performers at this year’s fair included Little Big Town, Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett, Fergie and Paramore. The fair also had its usual rodeo events, animal and car shows, carnival rides, food vendors and 4-H exhibits.
