SUMRALL, Miss. — The Sumrall Police Department is looking for a new police chief.

Mayor Heath Sumrall tells WDAM-TV that Chris Dungan resigned last week after holding the post for about seven years.

Heath says Dungan felt it was time for a change.

The department will be accepting applications for the position through Aug. 15.
