Greenwood resident charged for dealing pot, possession

A Greenwood man was arrested after police found marijuana and cocaine in his vehicle during a traffic stop.

Ryan P. Grinsell, 19, was arrested on a charge of dealing marijuana and possession of cocaine.

A Johnson County Sheriff’s Office deputy stopped Grinsell just before 2:30 a.m. Sunday on Smokey Row Road for a traffic violation.

Inside the vehicle, the deputy could see a bag with what he believed was marijuana inside. Deputies searched the vehicle and found multiple bags of marijuana, a glass smoking device and a small bag of cocaine, according to the report.

Grinsell told deputies he had recently sold marijuana in the nearby Hickory Stick neighborhood in the Center Grove area, the report said.

Grinsell, 5139 Russell Lane, was arrested and taken to the Johnson County jail, where he was being held on $4,400 bond.
