Woman taken to hospital after single-vehicle crash

A Franklin woman was taken to a hospital for treatment after a single-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in Johnson County.

Larry States, 73, of Franklin, was driving a car east on State Road 144 about 4:40 p.m. when the vehicle left the road, flipped and hit a tree, a Johnson County Sheriff’s Office report said.

The passenger in the car, Alice States, 70, was taken to a hospital for treatment of her injuries. Larry States was treated at the scene for a head abrasion, the report said.

Larry States told a deputy that he didn’t know what had happened, only that at one moment he had been driving and in the next they had crashed, the report said.
