Three Center Grove area homes and a park were vandalized with spray paint.
The homes and park within about a mile of each other were spray painted with derogatory names and curse words sometime on Tuesday.
The reports came from the Innisbrooke and Wakefield West neighborhoods, north of Smith Valley Road, between State Road 37 and Morgantown Road.
Residents reported someone had spray painted derogatory names and phrases on their homes and vehicles, including “rich kid” and curse words on two homes. Another home in the 5700 block of Columbia Circle was spray painted with the word thief and other images.
And Yorktown Park, located off Pennswood Road in the Wakefield West neighborhood, was also vandalized. Someone spray painted, “These lights were no help,” referring to recently installed security lights, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office report said.
The sheriff’s office is investigating.
