Center Grove area homes, vehicles vandalized

At least three Center Grove area homes were spray painted with curse words and derogatory names overnight Monday.

Residents at two homes in the Innisbrooke neighborhood, near Morgan-town and Fairview roads, called the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday morning to report someone had spray painted their homes and vehicles. A third resident made a report Tuesday afternoon.

At a home on Innisbrooke Trail, the resident reported someone spray painted his car in blue and orange paint, and had spray painted “rich kid” and other words on the side of the home, according to the sheriff’s office report.

The resident told police he didn’t know of anyone who would be upset with him or his children, the report said.

Deputies were called to a second home shortly after on Pennswood Road, where a resident reported someone had spray painted derogatory names on her home, the report said.

The two residents do not know each other, but the homes are close to each other, Sheriff Doug Cox said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office tip line at 317-346-4654.
