EDINBURGH
Rita Burton, 67 of Edinburgh, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at her residence.
She was born on April 16, 1950, in Seymour. She was the daughter of Clifford and Mable (Seals) Ault.
She married Phillip “Mike” Burton on April 16, 1981, and he preceded her on July 15, 2016.
She is survived by three children; a brother, Farrell (Christie) Nowland of Morgantown; brothers-in-law, Dean (Kay) Burton of Edinburgh and Jeff (Malinda) Burton of Columbus, sisters-in-law, Beulah (Leonard) Littlejohn, Sheila (Mike) Hendrix, Esther (Danny) Stanfill and Vickie (Joey) Russell, all of Edinburgh.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers and two sisters.
She attended Blue River Baptist Church in Edinburgh.
She enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a Dale Earnhardt fan.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Justin Surface at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
