Franklin teen charged with possessing child pornography

A Franklin teen was charged with five counts of possession of child pornography.

Riley Wayne Seal, 19, was charged with the felonies after an investigation found he had 14 videos and images of child pornography.

Indiana State Police began the investigation after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, according to the police report.

Police searched Seal’s father’s home and found the computer and two cellphones, including one hidden under a mattress, with the images, the report said.

Seal told police he knew what he was doing was wrong, and he had tried to stop, the report said.

Each felony charge carries a maximum of six years in prison.

Seal, 2770 Branigin Creek Blvd., was arrested and released on $12,000 bond.
