Police: Child porn found on man’s computer

A Greenwood man was charged with multiple felonies after police said they found child pornography on his computer and that he had received nude photos from a 15-year-old girl.

Christopher A. Wood, 24, was charged with three counts of child exploitation and four counts of possession of child pornography.

Police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that 87 videos and images of child pornography had been downloaded by a person in Greenwood.

Using the IP address that was used, investigators found Wood and searched his computer, which had multiple videos and images of children naked or being sexually abused, according to the police report. Wood told police he had also shared those images online, the report said.

Wood also told police he had been communicating with a 15-year-old girl and had received nude photos from her, which police found on his cellphone, the report said.

If convicted of the seven felony counts, Wood could face six years or more in prison.

Wood, 62 Declaration Drive, was arrested and taken to the Johnson County jail. He was released on $4,500 bond.
