Fair parade taking new route

The Johnson County 4-H and Agricultural Fair parade is Saturday in downtown Franklin, and is following a new route this year due to downtown construction.

The parade begins at Franklin Community Middle School, 625 Grizzly Cub Drive, and heads east on Banta Street to Main Street. The floats and bands then turn south on Main Street, then east on Madison Street.

The route then heads south on Home Avenue and ends at South Street at the Johnson County Prosecutor’s Office, 1 Caisson Drive, south of the Johnson County Courthouse.

The parade begins at 4 p.m. Saturday.
