DAILY JOURNAL FRANKLIN FEST, 6 to 10 p.m. July 14, downtown Franklin. The event is a “thank-you” to readers and the community for their support. To get the crowd dancing, music will be provided by the band Toy Factory. Food trucks will serve everything from pizza to kettlecorn. Beer will be available for purchase. The music starts at 7 p.m.
FIREWORKS SHOW, dusk, July 18, Center Grove High School football field, 2717 S. Morgantown Road, Greenwood; Center Grove Aquatics Club is hosting a free community fireworks show. Food will be available for purchase, starting at 6 p.m. Families are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets.
