Pay It Forward Johnson County will raise funds for local nonprofits at the spring 2018 Rock the Block run.
The organization has announced it will discontinue its annual fall golf outing for 2017.
The organization that has raised nearly $250,000 for dozens of Johnson County nonprofits.
Since 2011, Pay It Forward Johnson County partnered with The Legends Golf Club in Franklin for a golf outing in September, which raised more than $195,000 for local charities that provide education, emergency programs, basic human services and healthcare.
Pay It Forward added the Rock the Block Run event in 2016. The community-run celebration at Center Grove High School includes a professionally timed 10K run, a family-friendly 5K run/walk, and music entertainment, interactive vendor booths and food.
The next Rock the Block is scheduled for April 21, with registration beginning in January.
