FRANKLIN

Gaye N. (Bratcher) McDole, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at her home in Franklin, surrounded by her family.

Gaye was born on Aug. 3, 1929, in Central City, Kentucky, to Denver and Nova (Williams) Bratcher.

Gaye is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, James Douglas McDole.

Other survivors include children, Michael (Rachel) McCarty of Durand, Michigan, Connie (Howie) Louden of Greenwood, Eugene Powell of Michigan, Tom Powell of Brownstown, Jlee (Carla) Powell of Clarksville, Tennessee, Trace (Bobbie) Powell of Edinburgh and Jill Powell of California; step-children, Robert (Terry) McDole of Freetown, Linda (Ray) Carter of Gallatin, Tennesse and John (Lupe) McDole of Orlando, Florida.

Also surviving are siblings, Tom Bratcher of Seymour, Jody Burley of Grand Island, Florida and Ray Bratcher of Evansville; 25 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Gaye was preceded in death by step-son, Randy McDole; sister, Leora Summa and brothers, Lawrence and Charles Bratcher.

Gaye was a member of Franklin Church of the Nazarene and was a caretaker to many. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving, caring wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother.

Pastor Michael McCarty and Pastor Max Downs will conduct a celebration of Gaye’s life at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Franklin Church of the Nazarene, 140 Branigin Road, Franklin. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour.

Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin is assisting the family with arrangements.
