Beth (Farley) Wild

CULVER CITY, CALIFORNIA

Beth (Farley) Wild, 60, of Culver City, California, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017, in Indianapolis, while visiting from California.

Beth was a native Hoosier who was born in Indianapolis on Sept 5, 1956. She is the daughter of Darrell J. Farley and Beverly Burkhardt Farley, who preceded her in death, and is survived by her brother, Darrell Farley, Jr., (Maria) of Indianapolis, and her nieces, Jackie McCoy, (Charlie) Sara and Sami Jackson, (Steven) and many cousins.

She graduated from Manual High School and earned a bachelor of science degree from Indiana State University. She worked for several years for AT&T and then made a career change and went into education where she worked in Indiana and later in California as a school guidance counselor.

She earned her Master’s degree from Indiana State Universuty also and had just retired a few weeks ago from the Los Angeles School District. She married David Wild in 2000, who survives her.

She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in a variety of capacities over the years. She was known for her caring attitude and kind nature and was a selfless person. She always wanted to help others. She was interested in genealogy and did a lot of research in family history. She enjoyed traveling, especially to visit family members across the country. She was much beloved by her nieces and nephews, other friends, and family.

A viewing will be 5 to 8 p.m. today at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel in Greenwood with a funeral service at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 900 E. Stop 11 Road, Indianapolis.
