Thefts

Taco Bell, parking lot, 1579 U.S. 31 North: A man reported at 9:58 a.m. Monday that someone stole cigarettes and cash from his vehicle.

First block of South Hougham Street: A man reported at 12:50 p.m. Monday that someone stole a bow, a bow case, a hunting bag, shoes and tools and clothing from his vehicle.

200 block of 14th Street: A man reported at 2:34 p.m. Monday that he loaned a bike to a friend and the friend never returned it.

2800 block of U.S. 31: A woman reported at 2:41 p.m. Monday that a license plate was missing from her vehicle.

700 block of West Madison Street: A woman reported at 7:08 a.m. Tuesday that a relative took her vehicle without permission.

400 block of Kentucky Street: A woman reported at 2:28 p.m. Tuesday that a relative took her vehicle without permission

Battery

200 block of Home Avenue: Police responded at 10:29 p.m. Tuesday to a report of battery.

Theft

First block of Nancy Lane: A woman reported at 9:10 p.m. Tuesday that a ring and two sets of earrings were stolen from her jewelry box.

Shoplifting

Kohls, 550 Fry Road: Police responded at 4:49 p.m. Monday to a report of shoplifting. Two juveniles were arrested and released to their parents.

Rural King, 860 U.S. 31: Police responded at 2:32 p.m. Tuesday to a report of shoplifting.

Residential entry

800 block of South Old U.S. 31, Franklin: A woman reported at 2:23 p.m. Monday that someone broke into her home and stole a television, jumper cables, tools, an air conditioner, an air compressor, a play pen and diapers and wipes.

Theft

100 block of North Peterman Road, Greenwood: A man reported at 7:36 p.m. Saturday that someone stole money and prescription pills from his home.

Criminal mischief

Johnson County Fairgrounds, 100 Fairground Street, Franklin: A man reported at 2:24 p.m. Tuesday that someone cut the electrical wires, ripped the fan belts, cut the tires and scratched the paint of his tractor.
