John Arthur Allore

FRANKLIN

John Arthur Allore, 71, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. He was a resident of Franklin.

He was born Aug. 25, 1945, in Toledo, Ohio, to Allen James Allore and Donna (Morley) Kramer.

John married Shirley Jo Blackwell on Aug. 3, 1991. She lovingly survives.

He also is survived by his mother, Donna Kramer of Oregon; children, Kelly (Karen) Mobley of Franklin, Daniel (Diana) Allore of Greenwood, Kris (Angela) Mobley of Greenwood, Mike (Jennifer) Allore of Michigan, Stacey (Mike) Detrick of Michigan and Viktoria Dusek of Indianapolis. Other survivors include his grandchildren, Dereck (Tiffany) Mobley, Chelsi (Chris) Harper, Chris Allore, Caleb Allore, Abigail Harrison, Noe Mobley, Cullen Detrick, Evan Detrick, Jack Allore, Cecelia Allore and David Lawrence; great-grandchildren, Lyla, Maverick, Molli, Adeline and Aleah; and two sisters, Janie (Bill) Wills and Judy (Walt) Brown.

He was preceded in passing by his father.

John was a graduate of St. Stephens School in Port Huron, Michigan and later served in the U.S. Army, during the Vietnam War.

He was employed in skilled trades with General Motors for 41 years, retiring on March 1, 2009. He later was employed with Perry Township Schools as a substitute teacher until February of this year.

John was a IUA Umpire, officiating high school games. John was a competitive baseball player, playing on many leagues for several years.

A celebration of John’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
