Five of Johnson County’s top returning basketball players were among those earning invites to the 15th annual IBCA/IHSAA Underclass Showcase, which will be next month at Ben Davis High School.
Whiteland’s Mackenzie Blazek and Center Grove’s Cassidy Hardin, both All-County selections this past season, have been chosen to take part in the girls showcase, which will run from 2 to 7:30 p.m. on July 11.
The boys showcase, which will be from 3 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, is set to include three returning county players — seniors Jared DeHart of Indian Creek and Eric Moenkhaus of Greenwood and junior Trayce Jackson-Davis of Center Grove. Former Franklin coach Dave Clark will be among the coaches working with the players.
Four Roncalli players also were invited — Ellie Bischoff and Alana Vinson on the girls side and Bryson Meek and Kellen Schreiber for the boys.
Both days are open to the public at cost of $5 per day. IBCA member coaches will be admitted free if they show a membership card.
