FRANKLIN

Morris Walter McTarsney, 61, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Franklin.

He was born on Oct. 18, 1955, in Franklin to Lee Roy McTarsney, Sr. and Anna Mae (Thompson) McTarsney. Morris married Sheila Jane Stephens on Nov. 16, 1974. She lovingly survives in Franklin. Also surviving are one daughter, Carolyn Phillips (Chris) of Franklin; one son, Ronal Ebling (Eric) of Owensboro, Kentucky; one grandson, Wyatt Phillips; five siblings, Mike McTarsney (Melanie) of Spearsville; Helen Throckmorton (Bruce) of Greenwood; Anna Fay Critney (Rob) of Hope; Sherman McTarsney of Franklin and David Ferrell (Bellame) of Columbus. He was preceded in passing by his parents and three brothers, Lee Roy “Butch” McTarsney, Jr.; Larry Gene McTarsney, Sr. and Anthony “Tony” McTarsney.

He attended school in Franklin.

Morris was retired from Clawson Communications where he was a telecommunication technician.

He attended First Christian Church in Morgantown. Morris enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and especially loved attending his grandson Wyatt’s ballgames.

Rev. Burt Brock will conduct a celebration of Morris’ life at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and on Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to time of service. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
