Gracie Alice Roark

FRANKLIN

Gracie Alice Roark, 78, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Franklin and a former long time resident of Nineveh.

She was born on June 28, 1938, in Knox County, Kentucky, to James and Velva (Asher) Johnson. She married Victor Dean Roark on July 10, 1954. He preceded her in passing on Nov. 20, 2009.

Survivors include her children, Barbara Barnett (Chuck), Vickie Moore (James), Harold Roark (Freda), Brenda Vaughn (Jeff), Mike Roark (Shari), David Roark; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 11 brothers and sisters; and sister in-law, Geraldine “Viney” Brumley.

She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband; and 1 sister.

Alice was a member of Lickspring Baptist Church.

She worked as a Medication Aide at the Franklin United Methodist Community until her retirement at age 75.

Alice enjoyed gardening; was an avid reader; and loved to spend time with her family.

Rev. John Eley will conduct a service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home 2898 N. Morton St., Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Nineveh Cemetery in Nineveh.
