Richard M. Lewis Jr.

NINEVEH

Richard M. Lewis Jr., 67, of Nineveh, passed away at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin.

Born Sept. 22, 1949, in Glasgow, Kentucky, he was the son of Richard M. Lewis Sr., and Imogene (Williams) Lewis, who are both deceased.

Richard was a 1967 Franklin Community High School graduate.

On July 24, 1989, in Glasgow, Kentucky, he married Linda G. (Sage) Lewis, who survives in Nineveh.

He worked as a Wonder Bread Hostess route man.

Richard was all about the kids in his life. He loved his kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews — and he enjoyed teasing all of them.

He was an I.U. basketball fan and was a member of Franklin Memorial Church in Franklin.

Other survivors include, two children, Tracie (Scott) Lewis Lunde of Atlanta, Georgia and Susan Lewis of Nineveh; two grandchildren, Austin Lunde of Atlanta, Georgia and Trenton Smith of Nineveh; three nephews; two great-nieces, three great-nephews; one great-great-niece; two siblings, Garry (Carol) Lewis of Monrovia and Judy Lewis Hobson of Columbus.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Sue Lewis Simon.

Pastor David Schill will conduct graveside services at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Crothersville Cemetery.
