Police: Stolen gun found inside vehicle

Police stopped a vehicle traveling more than 100 mph on Interstate 65 on Tuesday and found a stolen gun inside, according to a report from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

William Lane, 25, of 2921 Percheron Lane, Indianapolis, was arrested on charges of possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon and possession of stolen property.

Kiesha Marie Taylor, 26, of 1212 N. Sheffield Ave., Indianapolis, was arrested on charges of providing a false identity, driving while suspended and unrelated warrants.

She had been driving the vehicle but jumped into the back seat when the deputy stopped the car because her driver’s license was suspended and she was wanted on other charges, the report said.
