DARLINGTON, S.C. — Sheriff’s deputies in South Carolina have arrested a man and charged him in the shooting of a man found dead in a car last weekend.

Darlington County Sheriff’s Lt. Robert Kilgo said in a news release that 26-year-old Remon Anthony Cadet of Darlington has been charged with murder.

Kilgo said deputies found a man in a car Sunday morning who had been shot at least once. His name has not been released.

Cadet is being held in the Darlington County jail. It was not known if he has an attorney.

Deputies have not released a motive for the shooting.
