FALMOUTH, Maine — The acting director of the Maine Audubon is going to be taking the role on a permanent basis.

Maine Audubon trustees selected Andy Beahm to serve as executive director of the 174-year-old wildlife conservation organization.

Beahm joined the Maine Audubon staff in the summer of 2016 as deputy director following 34 years in a variety of leadership roles at L.L. Bean.

Beahm stepped up as acting director after Ole Amundsen III resigned, and says he’s thrilled to be stepping into this role at an organization he’s “revered for so long.”
