WILLCOX, Ariz. — Authorities say Interstate 10 is closed in southeastern Arizona due to blowing dust in the area and a vehicle crash in New Mexico.

Arizona Department of Transportation officials say I-10 is closed for about 60 miles, with eastbound traffic stopped just east of Willcox.

Westbound traffic is stopped at Lordsburg, New Mexico.

There’s no immediate word Monday evening on how many vehicles were involved in the crash and if there were any injuries.

ADOT officials say traffic in both directions may take a 105-mile detour through Safford and Duncan by using U.S. 191 and U.S. 70.
