VanHorn signs with Jackrabbits
Burk VanHorn, who recently finished his high school wrestling career at Franklin, signed a letter of intent to compete at the collegiate level for South Dakota State next season.
VanHorn, who was ranked No. 1 in Indiana at 170 pounds for much of last season, finished second in the state at 160 as a junior.
South Dakota State is a Division I program located in Brookings.
Cross-country
GCA’s Dalton signs with Malone
Allie Dalton, a recent Greenwood Christian Academy graduate, will continue her running career as a member of the girls cross country team at Malone University.
Dalton was a three-time state qualifier in both track and cross country, and she also competed at the 2015 New Balance Nationals in the 3,200 meters after her sophomore year at Greenwood High School.
Malone, located in Canton, Ohio, competes at the NCAA Division II level.
