GREENWOOD
Betty Lou Johnson, 86, of Greenwood, passed away Monday, June 12, 2017.
She was born March 11, 1931, in Whiteland, to the late William and Lucille Jones.
She was a past president of the Greenwood Little League Auxiliary and grand marshal of the little league parade. She had the opportunity to throw the first ball to her grandson, Austin, which he caught — a great day!
She was a past member of the Olive Branch Christian Church in Indianapolis.
Survivors include five children, Mike (Becky) Johnson, Gary (Cindy) Johnson, Denise (Bob) Vance, Kevin (Tracey) Johnson and David (Michele) Johnson; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Johnson in December of 1996; and her sister, Patricia Antrobus in June of 2011.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Friday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 S. State Road 135 and Olive Branch Road. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to Greenwood Little League or the Indiana Organ Procurement Organization.
