Color the county mural to be painted in Whiteland

Johnson County Community Foundation has announced the winner of the 2017 Color the County Mural Program design contest for Whiteland.

This year, the mural will be installed in Whiteland at 530 Main St. Dave Windisch’s mural design was chosen. Windisch is the advertising and public relations director for Franklin Heritage, Inc. and The Historic Artcraft Theatre.

The foundation invites residents to help bring the mural to life at the Whiteland Community Painting Day at 9 a.m. to noon on June 24 at the location. Painting supplies and refreshments will be provided.

The second winning mural, location and painting date will be announced soon.
