FRANKLIN
Arvella McMillin, 87, Franklin, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017, at home.
She was born Dec. 20, 1929, in Irvine, Kentucky, the daughter of Fount and Dorsie (Stevens) Hisle.
She is survived by her husband of almost 70 years, John McMillin; daughter, Linda (David) Church; grandsons, Michael (Deidra) Hussung and Bryan (Jenny) Hussung; and great-granddaughters, Madison, Ally, Macy and Kenna.
She was preceded in death by her son, Tommy; and her parents and a sister.
Arvella enjoyed crocheting and traveling with her husband. Her very favorite trips were to Hawaii. Arvella and John lived in Florida for 10 years.
She loved spending time with her great-granddaughters and was always a presence in her grandson’s lives.
She was a member of Club USA.
A celebration of Arvella’s life will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
