Grand opening for StoryWalk planned

Johnson County Public Library’s newest StoryWalk and Little Free Library premier Saturday in Trafalgar.

From 1 to 4 p.m., families can enjoy under-the-sea fun with bubbles, crafts, fishy snacks and games, and have photos taken in the pirate or mermaid photo booth.

Strolling along the prairie path and StoryWalk, readers can read “Over in the Ocean: In a Coral Reef,” by Marianne Berkes.

The Prairie Path and Kelsey Devine StoryWalk is an Indiana Bicentennial Legacy Project. The walk is dedicated to the memory of Trafalgar resident Kelsey Devine.

New stories have arrived at the other StoryWalk locations throughout the county as well. Read “Mighty, Mighty Construction Site” by Sherri Duskey Rinker and Tom Lichtenheld at Independence Park and read “Muncha! Muncha! Muncha!” by Candace Fleming at the Urban Forest in Franklin.
