Margaret Anne Wiesman

FRANKLIN

Margaret Anne Wiesman, 94, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at the Franklin United Methodist Community. She was a long time resident of Franklin.

She was born Oct. 4, 1922 in Hutsonville, Illinois, to Pleasant E. and Anna Thelma (Tedford) Huffman.

She married Max Wiesman, who preceded her in passing in 1996.

Survivors include her sons, Andy Wiesman (Lynn) and David Wiesman (Nancy); grandchildren Greg Wiesman (Allison), Anne Mastrangelo (Bill), Jeanne Getz (Adam), Julie Timberman (Mark), Michael Wiesman and Tony Wiesman; great-grandchildren Evan, Ryan, Colin, Katie, Jane and Giulia; and sister, Kay Ditmars.

She was preceded in passing by her parents; and brother, Bob Huffman.

Margy attended schools in Hutsonville, Illinois. She was a graduate of Franklin College.

She was a teacher at Franklin Community High School.

Margy was a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church, Pi Beta Phi Sorority and Tri Kappa.

She was a volunteer for many organizations including the United Way of Johnson County and the Johnson County Museum of History.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, crocheting and working crossword puzzles.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Franklin United Methodist Community.

The Rev. David Lee will conduct a memorial service at noon Saturday at the Franklin United Methodist Community, Wright Chapel, 1070 W. Jefferson St.,  Franklin. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the Wright Chapel.
