INDIANAPOLIS
Clyde “Wayne” McClain passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017, at Community Hospital South.
He was born May 28, 1922, in Johnson County.
Wayne married Helen Louise Wilden, who preceded him in death. After Helen passed, Wayne married Iva Louise Roe, who preceded him in death.
Wayne was an instructor at Atterbury Job Corps and Indiana Youth Center, where he retired.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in the 313th Troop Carrier Command.
Mr. McClain was a long-time member of Greenwood Christian Church.
He is survived by his sons, Dennis McClain and Bruce (Faith) McClain; daughters, Sharon (Robert) Wilson, Susan (Randy) Pryor and Sally (Mike) Liffick; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Doug McClain, and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday with a celebration of life service at 11 a.m. on Friday at Wilson St. Pierre Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St., Greenwood.
