Bruce D. Denler

Bruce D. Denler, 85, Greenwood, formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Greenwood Village South.

He was born May 11, 1932, in Langdon, North Dakota, to Roy and Ethel Denler, who predeceased him, as did brother James Denler, and sisters Glenna Fast and Sharon Bailey.

He graduated from Langdon High School in 1950 and then served four years in the U.S. Air Force.

He later graduated from the University of North Dakota. He married Vaughn Saunders of Lakota, North Dakota on June 15, 1959. She lovingly survives.

Also surviving are sister, Lois (Ed) Klein, Wahpeton, North Dakota; children Kimberly (Greg) Torrison of Franklin, Kevin (Veronica) Denler of Denver, Colorado, Rob (Mary) Denler of Monument, Colorado; grandchildren Leah, Chad (Sara) and Abby Torrison, and Will and Johnathan Denler; and great-grandchild Lucy Torrison.

Bruce spent his career in the grocery industry, retiring in 1995.

Family visitation will be 1 to 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Greenwood Village South Meeting Room, 295 Village Lane, Greenwood, in The Arms building, with a celebration of life service following at 2:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Bruce Denler’s name to Greenwood Village South.
