5 injured in 2-vehicle crash on U.S. 31

Five people were injured when a vehicle did not yield to another vehicle on U.S. 31 in Amity on Friday.

Sharon L. Bush, 74, Trafalgar was traveling west on County Road 400S., and attempted to cross into the intersection of U.S. 31. just after 3 p.m. Friday. She was struck on the passenger side by a vehicle driven by Jason Hogan, 42, Edinburgh, according to a report from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

Bush had chest pain. Hogan had minor bleeding to his elbow/lower arm. Passenger Parker Hogan, 12, Edinburgh, had minor face bleeding, the report said.

Passenger Carmen Caudell, 58, Fortville, was treated and released at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Edward Bush, 56, Trafalgar, is in stable and good condition at Methodist after being taken by medical helicopter to the hospital.
