EDINBURGH
Chris Turner, 50, of Edinburgh, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis.
He was born on April 7, 1967, in Franklin. He was the son of Lewis “Ike” and Margaret Eloise “Lois” (Simpson) Turner.
He is survived by his father of Edinburgh; stepmother, Brenda Turner of Edinburgh; sons, Zach Turner of Edinburgh, Sinjun Turner of Edinburgh and Staley Turner of Edinburgh; brothers, Steve (Kelly) Turner of Edinburgh and Jessie Simpson of Edinburgh.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
He was a member of Sons of the American Legion in Edinburgh and was a self-employed carpenter. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and fishing.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
