FRANKLIN
Betty L. Lucas, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at her residence in Franklin.
She was born July 1, 1929, in Indianapolis to Dale and Beulah (Norton) Durbin. Betty married Floyd C. Lucas on Aug. 28, 1949. He lovingly survives.
Other survivors include their children, Steven C. Lucas of Mooresville, Gay Ann LaGrange of Franklin and Scott R. Lucas of Franklin; four grandsons, Matthew LaGrange, Wesley Lucas, Nathan (Jill) LaGrange and Jacob (Jonnie) Lucas; five great-grandchildren, Hunter and Keira Lucas, Owen and Aaron LaGrange and Karson Lucas. Other survivors include brother-in-law, Phil Mendenhall; niece, Cheryl (Gerald) Thompson; nephew, Jack (Linda) Durbin and niece, Barbara Shwab and great-nephew, Justin Thompson. She was preceded in passing by her parents and siblings, Jack, Bill, Lura Mae, Jean and Patty.
She was a graduate of Franklin Community High School.
Betty was a member of Tabernacle Christian Church and Franklin Chapter, Order of Eastern Star No. 439.
David Hogue will conduct a graveside service at 1 p.m. Saturday at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
