Gallery exhibit showcases local artist print maker

The Southside Art League is spotlighting Greenwood artist and print maker Tom Brown as its featured artist for June.

Brown’s art includes prints, water color, pencil drawings, woodcuts and mixed media. His work has been in over 35 shows in the past 18 months and won numerous awards. Many of the award-winning pieces will be on display.

Brown studied art at Ball State University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Education. He also has a Master in Financial Science from the American College. For the last 47 years he has owned and operated a financial services business in Greenwood, according to his website.

The exhibition of Brown’s work will be at the Southside Art League Gallery, 299 E. Broadway St., Greenwood. The show will be on exhibit from June 2 to 29. A reception and artist meet-and-greet will be 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the gallery. Refreshments will be served and the reception is free to the public.
