William “Bill” Zeigler

William “Bill” Zeigler, 90, went to be with his commander in chief, the Lord, on Friday, May 26, 2017, at his residence in Franklin.

Bill was born in Nineveh on Feb. 11, 1927, to William and Gertrude (Wilkerson) Zeigler-Wagerman.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy (Winter) Zeigler; four children, Mike Zeigler (Louise), Cyndi Trent (Craig), Sherri Dudley (Benny), Bob Zeigler (Libby); 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in passing by a brother, Wayne Wagerman; sister, Juanita Burge; and grandson, Brandon Dudley.

Bill served in the United States National Guard for 36 years. After his retirement he worked as the superintendent of the Brown County Highway Department.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the service time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bill’s memory to the donor’s favorite charity.
