Franklin retains all-sports trophy

For the second consecutive year, Franklin has claimed the Mid-State Conference’s All-Sports Combined Trophy, awarded to the top overall athletics program in the league.

The Grizzly Cubs dominated in boys sports, winning conference titles in eight of 10 sports — soccer, cross country, basketball, swimming, wrestling, baseball, golf and track & field — and finishing second in tennis. Franklin has been the boys all-sports champion for six straight years.

On the girls side, Franklin won championships in swimming and volleyball and was runner-up in soccer and track and field.

This marks the third time since joining the Mid-State Conference that Franklin has won the all-sports combined title.
