Harry Dale Kincade

Harry Dale Kincade, 76, born April 8, 1941, to Ida (Reimer) and Harry C. Kincade, went home to be with his savior Friday, May 19, 2017, in Greenwood, after fighting a long battle with two different kinds of cancer, diabetes and Parkinson’s disease.

Harry graduated from Emmerich Manual High School in Indianapolis in 1959.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving two years, then was hired at Mitchell and Scott. He was employed with Allison Transmission for 30 years as a machinist, retiring in 2009.

Harry married Linda R. Gilliatt on June 15, 1991, in Indianapolis; they were married for 26 years.

He enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling to Florida, Pigeon Forge and Sturgis. He also liked restoring 1932 Fords.

Harry is survived by his wife, Linda Kincade of Greenwood; son, Dan (Pamela) Gilman of Cloverdale; daughter, Tammy Taylor of Bloomington; a brother, Howard (Dalene) Kincade of Cloverdale; five grandchildren, Dave Roeckel, Kayle Roeckel, Mike Gilman, Andre Rayner and Kristen Castro; four great-grandchildren, Hadley Roeckel, Presley Roeckel, Baron Castro and Gabby Gilman; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Shirley Bailey.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 U.S. 31 North, with visitation from 4 p.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
