N. Carolyn Roth, born Oct. 13, 1922, passed away May 17, 2017, in Greenwood.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 71 years, Daniel R. Roth.
Mrs. Roth will be greatly missed by her daughters, Vickie Roth Albaugh, Lynda Roth (Robert Yount), Kara Roth and Danise Williams (Bruce). She was a devoted grandmother to Daniel, David and John Albaugh, Melissa Albaugh Lovrich, Amy Kotzbauer, Kaitlyn Stephenson, James Williams and Joseph Yount. She also leaves behind 14 great-grandchildren.
A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, Mrs. Roth worked for Perry Township Schools for 21 years. She was a watercolorist in the South Side Art League and a longtime member of Southport Presbyterian Church. She will be remembered as a nurturing and thoughtful mother and grandmother. She displayed a memorable and wry sense of humor that stayed with her through her years of struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. Her daughters are thankful for that shared sense of humor that made the journey easier.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Visitation will be from noon to service time. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery on Morgantown Road.
