GLEN ULLIN, N.D. — Residents in Glen Ullin no longer have to boil their water before drinking it, after tests showed the water is safe.
A boil order was put in place Monday after a dead mouse was found in an underground water storage tank. But that order was lifted Friday after testing by the North Dakota State Laboratory.
The water tower is back in use and officials say water pressure in Glen Ullin should be adequate.
The mouse raised the potential that drinking water could be contaminated with microorganisms that could cause disease. The affected water storage facility was drained, scoured and disinfected and the water distribution system was flushed out.
