FRANKLIN
Martha Jane Sutter, 89, passed away Monday, May 15, 2017. She was a resident of Franklin.
She was preceded in death by her husband in November 2013.
Martha was born in Brookville on Dec. 5, 1927, to the late Owen and Mabel Crooke.
She graduated from Brookville High School in 1945. Martha had been society editor of the Brookville American Newspaper, and also was employed by Indianapolis Power and Light.
She was an inactive member of Tri Kappa and had a dual membership in Eastern Star and Franklin Masonic Home, Ransford Chapter for 36 years.
She was a member of Linwood Christian Church for over 62 years.
Survivors include four children, Stephen (Katy) of Westfield, David (Beverly) of Washington, Indiana, Gregory (Linda) of Austin, Texas, and Donna (Ray) Szkotak of Fishers, and one brother, Lynn (Marylyn) Crooke of Hamilton, Ohio.
Her other brother, Richard, passed away in 1941.
She had nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St., Franklin. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until the service time. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville at 5 p.m.
