Trojans rout Martinsville

Center Grove topped Martinsville on Monday, 11-4. Ryan Sauter homered for the Trojans (15-7, 7-5 MIC), while Nick Coy, Michael Wyman and Eli Lawyer-Smith each added a double. Hunter Burnett was the winning pitcher.

Whiteland falls in extra innings

Whiteland was defeated by Shelbyville 7-6 in eight innings Monday. Jacob Leistner had a homer and four RBIs for the Warriors (12-11, 4-6 Mid-State), while Austin Cook doubled. Logan Wynn was the losing pitcher.

Braves top Covenant

Indian Creek topped Covenant Christian on Monday 12-2 in six innings. Dustin Sprong was 4 for 5 and scored four runs for the Braves (11-6-1).

Edinburgh soars past Waldron

Edinburgh defeated Waldron 11-3 on Monday. Ryan Gaston led the Lancers (8-11, 4-6 Mid-Hoosier) with two hits and three RBIs, while Zach Murphy finished with a double and an RBI. Coltan Henderson was the winning pitcher.

Softball

Cougars fall to Anderson Prep

Greenwood Christian was taken down by Anderson Prep, 12-2. The Cougars (5-5, 2-2 PAAC) were held to only three hits in the game. Bethany Dailey was the losing pitcher.

Lancers shut out Waldron

Led by a 14-strikeout no-hitter from Madisyn Clark, Edinburgh took down Waldron in five innings 13-0 on Monday. Bri Howard led the Lancers (16-5, 9-2 Mid-Hoosier) offensively with two doubles and two RBIs.

Girls tennis

Roncalli defeats Plainfield

Roncalli came out on top against Plainfield on Monday, 3-2. The Rebels improve to 14-4 on the year.

Franklin College

Grizzlies add Whiteland quartet

Four student-athletes from Whiteland Community High School recently signed letters of intent with Franklin College.

Jace Carpenter, Logan Mullinix and Logan Wynn will be playing football for the Grizzlies beginning in the fall. Fellow senior Tyler Robinson will join the Franklin College baseball team.
