A section of State Road 135 north of Main Street in Greenwood is closed for traffic on Thursday evening after a large natural gas pipeline ruptured at the intersection with Meridian Oaks Drive.
The rupture was caused by crews digging in the area. Traffic in both directions is shut down until further notice, and drivers should avoid the area until the road can be re-opened, a Greenwood Police Department news release said.
