Franklin College has been recognized for its commitment to tree care and cultivation for a fourth year.
The college earned recognition by Tree Campus USA by the Arbor Day Foundation for urban forest management, which included maintaining a tree advisory committee, a campus tree care plan, dedicating money to the tree program and hosting an Arbor Day observance and a student service-learning project.
Tree Campus USA is a national program created in 2008 by the Arbor Day Foundation to honor colleges and universities for campus forest management and for engaging staff and students in conservation programs.
