Letter: There’s no consistency with senior citizens

To the editor:

I agree with Mr. Tom Huston’s article (“Highway bill just fueling problems,” May 2), but would like to add that the legislators need to use the same Cost of Living Factor used for Social Security increases.

It seems Congress enjoys using a different factor for seniors than they do for others! Thus senior citizens get very little — if any — increases while almost all costs go up!

But, they sneak in all kinds of little details that reduce monthly payments!
