Foundation seeking mural designs for program

Artists are invited to submit mural designs for the Johnson County Community Foundation’s Color the County mural program.

The initiative joins artists or aspiring artists and communities through the collaborative process of mural creation to build public artwork that can transform public spaces.

Local artists, emerging artists, art students and creative community members are invited to submit a mural design for either Franklin or Whiteland.

The artist will join artist Gordon Strain and the foundation to implement the  murals that reflect the stories and content consistent with JCCF and community messaging, and will create a pedestrian friendly, aesthetically pleasing environment for visitors and community members.

Interested artists should visit jccf.org/mural-program/ to download the entry form and guidelines for each location. Direct questions about the mural program to Kim Minton at [email protected].
