Charles V. Phillips

EDINBURGH

Charles V. Phillips, 86 of Edinburgh, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at his residence.

He was born on Sept. 20, 1930, in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.

He was the son of George Phillips and Susan M. (Ward) Cooker.

He married Stella (Dobbins) Phillips on July 25, 1995.

He is survived by his wife; sons, David (Jody) Phillips of Flat Rock and Dan (Marianne) Phillips of Edinburgh, daughters, Debbie (Chris) Potter of Hagerstown, Maryland and Susie (Galen) Burton of Franklin; stepson, Douglas Dobbins of Greensburg, and stepdaughter, Valeria (Rick) Callahan of Edinburgh; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Norman Phillips; brother, John Phillips, and a sister, Catherine Driscoll.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union, Local No. 20.

It was Charles’ wishes for cremation and no service to be conducted.
