Forest Lawn Community Outreach, a program of Forest Lawn Memory Gardens and Funeral Home, is planning a new Mother’s Day Memorial program in May.
The organization will host a butterfly release to remember and honor loved ones.
The event will take place at 4 p.m. May 14 in the Forest Lawn Chapel, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood.
The Mother’s Day Memorial Butterfly Release is a free community event open to the public. The hour-long program supports loss of parent, loss of child and general loss.
The remembrance program will feature speakers who will share messages of hope and healing and an uplifting special performance. At the conclusion of the program, guests will receive live butterflies and together they will release the butterflies.
